Security and data

A plain account of where insights come from and what Hint stores. The longer version is the privacy policy.

Where insights come from

Every insight links back to where we found it. Hint never touches a competitor’s private systems.

What you give Hint

An account needs your name and email. The workspace needs your company and the competitors you choose to watch. That context is used to write the briefs and battlecards.

Sign-in

Sign-in goes through an established authentication provider. Hint does not store your password. People on a team each sign in. There is no view of a battlecard that skips login.

In transit

Hint is served over HTTPS, so data between your browser and Hint is encrypted in transit.

What we don’t do

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.
